Here is a once in a lifetime opportunity to actually shoot like the pros do, during an actual baseball game at Comerica Park, Home of the Detroit Tigers.

Join Rick Dupler and Darcy Olsen as they teach you the finer points of fast action baseball photography.

Rick has been the official Detroit Tigers Fantasy camp photographer for the past 23 years, traveling to FL for the annual camps held there. He had also been the camp photographer for the MLB All-Star game fantasy camp for 15 years, traveling across the country to wherever the All-Star game was held.

Darcy Olson, M. Photog., CPP - An official photographer for Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) state wrestling finals, Darcy has over 20 years experience as a school portrait and sports photographer. She currently enjoys creating individual and team sports banners/composites.

The Detroit Tigers Fantasy Camp, is an opportunity to fulfill your dream and fantasy of playing baseball in a real professional baseball stadium. You receive an official uniform, use the official locker room, and have real ex-major league ball players as your coaches. You get to play on the same fields that the pros use.

After we photograph a few games, we will move our group over to the Hockey Town Café for further discussion, and program information. Darcy and Rick will show you some of the unique and special items that you can create once you've captured your awesome images.

Now for the fine print:

For this program and opportunity, you actually be shooting the same "Photo Wells" that the pros shoot from during the professional baseball games. Due to this unique and special opportunity, we will have some restrictions and procedures that will need to be followed.

This event begins at 1:30, so plan on arriving by 1:00;

There will be a Mandatory orientation at 1:30, and you will not be able to enter after this begins;

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT WITH THE TIGERS. You will also be required to sign a release for your images, or you will NOT be allowed to attend the event;

All photos will be released to PPM for distribution to players for non-commercial use;

All images will be shot as Large JPG, NO RAW, unless you can shoot to multiple cards and will shoot RAW to that one;

Only small Camera bags will be allowed, you don’t need much equipment. A long lens will work the best, I use 28-300mm. I also use a 300mm, but it gets limited as you lose the chance for any near plays if a cropped format is used;

No Tripods, but you may bring a Monopod;

You can bring a small cooler for water or snacks;

You CANNOT leave the well once the game starts, no roaming around the park;

Bathrooms are available, but the home dugout will need to wait until game break;

NO AUTOGRAPHS!!! Violation of this will be cause for ejection from the park;

NO souvenirs (dirt, etc.) Violation of this will be cause for ejection from the park;

All cameras should be time synced at the beginning of the event (orientation meeting);

At the change of each game, you must change folders. Each game will be put into its own folder;

The weather may be hot, cold, dry or wet; you must dress accordingly;

No, non-registered guess be allowed on the field or in the photo wells.

Failure to comply will result in the removal from the field and forfeiting of your registration fee.

Afterwards, we will meet for a wrap-up Q&A at Hockey Town Café from 6:00 – 8:00, and to collect your images. Lunch will be on your own;

You will park in the Tigers Lot 3, or the "D" garage. The entrance will be at the Moain lobby on Montcalm, under the walkway to the Tigers Garage.

This will be during a Tigers Fantasy Camp Game,
NOT a real MLB Tigers game
