Family Picnic and Photo Day at Dow Gardens

We have had so much fun at previous family days, we had to keep the tradition going. Bring your camera, pack a picnic, grab your family or a friend, and join us at the Dow Gardens. We'll have time to explore the beauty of this Michigan gem, enjoy a picnic and exchange Family Photos.
This is a FREE* Members Only Event, but this year we are inviting our friends from DPPA as well. PPofMI will have drinks and some snacks to share. *See Dow Gardens Entry fees below.
The Photos:
We strongly encourage each Photographer to bring their camera and photograph another Member's Family.
If you are willing to volunteer to photograph more families, please email president.ppofmi@gmail.com or let a board member know. Delivery of photos is only expected to be the RAW images. Please note, it is suggested that you edit your own family's images out of respect of each others time.

Each family/individual will cover their own entry fee based on the Gardens' standard schedule.

Details about the venue:
Experience a dazzling 110-acre display of annuals and perennials punctuated by distinctive bridges, towering pines, and delightful water features.
General admission grants access to all features of campus including Gardens, Forest, and Canopy Walk, as available. Guests must enter through the 1809 Eastman Avenue Visitor Center. The park closes at 8PM.
Dow Gardens is largely an outdoor experience. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended and strollers/wagons are welcome. Weather-related closures do occur. Please call with questions or visit the Dow Gardens Plan Your Visit page for more information.
Photography is welcome and encouraged. Please be mindful of other guests, and do not obstruct the walkways. Tripods and light stands will be allowed. Do not enter planted or unplanted beds. Do not climb trees.
Drones are NOT permitted on the premises.
This is a non-smoking campus. This includes vaping and electronic cigarettes.
No pets (service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, are welcome).
Please note, though picnics are welcome, outside food and beverages are not permitted indoors. Concessions are available at the Whiting Forest Café.
