Curious about how to start in Image Competition? Getting ready for next season by sharpening up on the latest rules? Get better and get informed with this THREE part series on the inner workings of Image Competition by PPofMI, led by Master Photographers and Michigan Image Competition Officials.
October 2nd at 7pm, Kari Douma will discuss “The What-Why-How of Image Competition.” Explore why Michigan’s top photographers find it to be a useful tool and how it could be a huge part of your professional growth.
October 9th at 7pm, Sue Brown and Randy Van Duinen explore “Image Prep with the 12 Elements in Mind.” Whether you are just now learning the phrase “12 Elements” or struggling with what “Presentation” is, why it’s important or how to accomplish a digital mat quickly, or you need a brush up to get ready for the new season, this is a must attend. Image Prep is one of the number one questions asked leading up to the competition deadline.
October 16th at 7pm, Competition Chairs Chris Jones and Adam Carroll dig into the “The Rules - Everything You Need to Know to Enter” and SUCCEED. We will hit key points like Categories, How to Submit, Scoring and Trophies, as well as any other questions you may have. By the end of this discussion (and the series as a whole), you will have a comprehensive understanding of image competition and the resources to explore further. Can you say “mentor?”
